Fantastic customer service. So-so light
I’ll start with the good. I made a mistake when ordering and sent an email the next morning asking for it to be corrected. They changed it for me, no questions asked. I got the light kit at an excellent sale price and shipping was fast and well packaged. The kit itself was easy to install to the Prinsu rack on my Tacoma. It had multiple mounting brackets. I plumbed the switch wires through the hood release cable grommet through the firewall and wound up using a fuse tap to an ignition fuse and cut out the one on the supplied harness. I didn’t notice any additional wind noise after installation either.
Now for the not-so-great. The actual light isn’t anything remarkable. I got the amber version and it’s no brighter than my high-beams. The light is a very dark orange as well which I wasn’t prepared for (more of a preference thing). It’s a combo beam but the spot portion is a little too focused for my liking and the flood is barely noticeable. I’ll probably swap it out eventually. You get what you pay for and I really wouldn’t recommend the light for anyone who needs to really see down the road.
5 star service, 2 star light bar. I’ll shop Empyre again, just not for anything Cali Raised.
